Frequently Asked Questions
We offer a wide range of NDIS disability support services including in-home support, social work, counselling, community access, transport, cleaning, gardening, capacity building, and high intensity supports. Services can be tailored to your goals and needs.
Not yet. Catalyst Ability is not a registered NDIS provider. We have commenced our registration but can only work with self-managed and plan-managed participants for now.
Yes. We offer social work support under Medicare with a referral and mental health care plan from your GP. Counselling is also available privately or through your NDIS plan.
To get a mental health care plan, you just need to book an appointment with your GP. They’ll ask you a few questions about how you’re feeling and prepare a plan that gives you access to Medicare-funded sessions with a mental health professional, such as a social worker or counsellor.
Absolutely. Our support workers can assist with personal care, household tasks like cleaning and gardening, and daily routines — all delivered in a respectful, person-centred way. We also have a professional cleaner if you want specialist cleaning services.
In-home support is flexible care provided in your own home. Supported Independent Living (SIL) is typically provided for participants with higher needs who need several hours of support per day. Catalyst Ability can provide both of these supports, so contact us to see what we can do for you.
Getting started is easy. Just contact our team and we’ll set up a time to talk through your needs and how we can help. We support people at all stages of the NDIS journey.
Yes. Transport is one of our NDIS-funded services. We can help you get to appointments, programs, or social events safely and reliably.
Yes. Our trained staff provide high intensity supports for people with complex medical or behavioural needs. This is tailored carefully to each person’s situation.
Yes. If you’re not eligible for the NDIS or prefer private support, we offer social work counselling and support services privately or through Medicare.
Social workers can support you to navigate the NDIS, access services, and improve your quality of life. They offer advocacy, emotional support, and help you understand your rights, especially during times of change or challenge.
